Change happens one breath at a time

Real change is possible, and it doesn’t have to feel overwhelming.

  • If you’re here, chances are something in your life needs to change.

Maybe you feel stuck in patterns that no longer serve you. You’re ready to move forward but you’re not sure how.

You’re not alone. Real change is possible, and it doesn’t have to feel overwhelming.

Hypnotherapy offers a gentle, evidence-informed way to work with the subconscious mind, helping you shift unhelpful patterns, reduce inner resistance, and create lasting change from the inside out.

  • People seek hypnotherapy for many different reasons. Some are significant turning points, others are subtle shifts, but all are valid and worth addressing.

At Nafas Hypnotherapy, I support clients with a wide range of goals, including:

    • Stress & Anxiety Relief

    • Sleep & Insomnia Support

    • Habits and Smoking Cessation

    • Weight & Healthy Eating

    • Performance & Confidence

    • Fears & Phobias

  • 1.         Free Discovery Call (20 min)

A no-obligation conversation to discuss what’s going on, explore your goals, and determine whether hypnotherapy is the right fit.

    2.         Initial Session (90 min)

We take a deeper look at your patterns, identify what’s driving them, and begin the hypnotherapy process in a safe, supportive environment.

    3.         Follow-Up Sessions (60 min)

We reinforce progress, build on what’s working, and integrate practical strategies you can use beyond the session. Many clients notice meaningful shifts within 2–4 sessions.

Hi, I’m Shalini, a behavioural hypnotherapist and lifelong student of how the mind works.

My approach is gentle, practical, and deeply human. It’s about understanding how your mind has been trying to protect you, and then helping you explore new, more helpful ways to support the life you want to live.

In my sessions, you can expect:

  • A calm, unhurried space where you’re heard without judgment

  • Clear explanations of what we’re doing and why

  • Practical tools you can use long after the session is over

  • A collaborative approach - this is something I do with you, not to you

FAQs

  • Nafas means “breath”, a reminder that transformation doesn’t have to be dramatic.

Sometimes, it starts quietly: with one breath, one shift, one small decision that changes the course of everything that follows.

This practice is built around that philosophy. Change doesn’t require force or perfection. It starts with creating space - for renewal, for healing, for possibility.

  • No, never. You’re always in charge of what happens during a session.

You can talk, move, or even choose to stop the session at any time. Most people describe the experience as deeply relaxing but also surprisingly normal. You’re conscious of everything that’s happening.

Hypnotherapy isn’t about someone “doing” something to you. It’s about guiding your mind into a state where change becomes easier and more natural.

  • It depends on your goals and how deeply the pattern is rooted.

Some clients notice meaningful shifts after just one or two sessions, while others choose to work together over several weeks or months to support deeper or more complex change.

  • Yes. Many clients find online sessions just as effective, and often more convenient, than in-person appointments.

All you need is a quiet, comfortable space, a stable internet connection, and a device with a camera and microphone. The structure, techniques, and outcomes are the same in both formats.

  • Most people can, because hypnosis isn’t a special skill, it’s a natural state your mind already enters many times a day (for example, when you’re absorbed in a book or lost in thought while driving).

If you’re willing to engage with the process and follow simple suggestions, hypnotherapy is very likely to work for you. My role is to guide you into that state gently and safely. And you’re always in control of how far we go.

  • In most cases, yes. Hypnotherapy can work well alongside other forms of support. If you’re currently under the care of a doctor, psychologist, or psychiatrist, it’s helpful to let them know you’re considering hypnotherapy.

I’m happy to collaborate with other professionals as part of a broader care plan, and we can discuss any precautions during your initial consultation.

  • That’s completely okay. Many people feel unsure before their first session, especially if they’ve been stuck for a long time.

The free discovery call is a gentle way to explore whether this feels like the right path for you. There’s no obligation, no pressure, and no expectation to commit. Sometimes that first conversation is the beginning of meaningful change all by itself.

I also have regular group sessions for general hypno-relaxation. That’s a great way to dip your toe in the waters and see if you’re ready (or interested) to take the plunge.
